I am a devout believer in making use of all opportunities that come my way. And this series will be on my OpenClassrooms journey in the Front-End Developer path, one amazing opportunity that came my way in September 2019.
Sometime in May/June 2019, Facebook Developer Circles introduced the Developer Circle WebDev Training Course conducted by OpenClassrooms and opened up applications for Track 1. Track 1 was a sneak peek with access to all courses offered at OpenClassrooms, but the real deal was getting through to Track 2. Track 2 of the course gives access to the Front-End Developer Path, where learning is based on completing projects, which in turn will teach some great skills. Upon completion, you get to Bachelor-level Diploma, which also helps with job-searching in the future.
I applied and got in for Track 1 in June and had 3 months to try out as many courses as possible, and hopefully get into Track 2. Though I did have previous skills from working on other projects, I learned a whole slew more too. I was a complete newbie to WordPress, JQuery, Jasmine Framework, DevTool testing and even website optimization.
I had to reapply to Track 2 with my progress in August, and the good news came at the end of the month saying I got through! I learned so much more working on these projects and wanted to share them too. I will keep updating this list below with new posts whenever I have the time, and I sure hope it helps!
Hope you can use these examples!
